'Who are boundary spanners? Attributes, opportunities and constraints for engaging knowledge across boundaries.'

This paper explores the workings of those who link research and policy. It draws on recent literature to synthesize these challenges and characterize ‘who’ boundary spanners are and what they do. It argues that greater acknowledgement and professionalization of boundary spanning will improve the use of science in practice and knowledge to action.
